Data Rights & Use

This page explains, in plain English, what happens to the data you and your organisation generate on the European Defence Exchange — and what Atlantic Edge Group LLC ("AEG", "we") may and may not do with it. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

The short version. You keep what you upload. We build combined, anonymised insight from how the Platform is used, and we own that combined insight. We use it to make the Platform work better for everyone. We never resell your identifiable data.

1. The five kinds of data

• Raw input data — what you upload: a listing, a bill of materials, a company profile, an invoice. You own this.
• Personal data — data about an identifiable individual. You have rights over it; see the Privacy Policy.
• Generated data — created by using the Platform: searches, bids, transactions, executed set-offs. You licence this to us.
• Aggregated data — combined across many users so that nobody is identifiable. We own this.
• Derived data — scores, benchmarks, models and indices we build from the above. We own this.

2. The rights you grant us

When you use the Platform you grant AEG a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, aggregate, pseudonymise, analyse and create insight from your raw input and generated data — for the purposes described below, and no others.

3. What we use it for

• Operating, securing and improving the Platform.
• Verifying suppliers and counterparties.
• Powering matching, scoring, intelligence and settlement.
• Producing aggregated and derived insight.
• Licensing aggregated or anonymised insight to third parties — never in a form that identifies you, unless you separately agree.

4. Why we combine data across our modules

The European Defence Exchange is one ecosystem with four modules — EDE, Drone Ex, Procurion and Vault. Data from one may enrich the others: a supplier verified on EDE can be matched to opportunities in Procurion and settle through Vault. This is what makes the Platform more useful the more it is used. Where personal data is involved, we do this only on a lawful basis.

5. What we will not do

• We will not sell your identifiable data.
• We will not share your commercially sensitive information — your prices, volumes, margins or customers — with other members.
• We will not use your data for a materially different purpose without a fresh lawful basis.

6. If you leave

You can export your raw input data. We may continue to use aggregated and derived data, which does not identify you, and we retain records we are required by law to keep — including transaction, invoice and offset records. Erasure of personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. A note on our settlement ledger

Vault records cleared transactions in a tamper-evident ledger. That ledger stores cryptographic hashes and pseudonymous references — not directly identifying personal data. When you ask us to erase your data, we delete the personal data held outside the ledger and destroy the associated keys; the ledger record itself is retained where we are legally required to keep transaction records.
